  1. Basic Observations:

    Antagonists are bandits. Protagonists (at this point of the film) are the villagers being terrorized (at least one killed to make a point to the other villagers) by the bandits. Horses always feature.

    Scene is a small ranch/town seemingly isolated in the desert. Characters are dressed to connote their status, i.e. bandits where stetson hats, etc.

    A lot of non-diegetic sound to set the atmosphere. Diegetic sound when something the watcher needs to know is taking place and when there are gun fights.

    Represent the ideologies of gender and cultural background.
